“Preparing For Professions” Conference

altGetting the diploma is a great achievement.
Getting the job is another.
Students who packed the classrooms at LDS Business College’s recent “Preparing for Professions” Conference came away with new tools to help them land that job. More than 50 seminars on career preparations topics taught by area professionals, employers and experts gave students the opportunity to learn about effective interviewing skills, resume writing, employment research, keeping skills current and marketable, networking, problem solving, professional dress, workplace etiquette, online identity development, and more.
Keynote speakers for the day were Clark Gilbert, president and CEO of Deseret Digital Media; Marilyn McSweeney, executive recruiter and career consultant, The McSweeney Group; and LDS Business College President J. Lawrence Richards.
A complete listing of the day's events is detailed here.
