Q: Can you find a tutor for most any subject?
A: We offer tutoring in English, math, accounting, and all IT courses, but some tutors may be available for other subjects-Call to check.
Q: How long will the session take?
A: Sessions are set to last 30 minutes. If you need more time, talk with the tutor about it at your session. You may be tutored in a subject for one session a day.
Q: How much do tutors charge for private tutoring?
A: Nothing! It's free to LDS Business College students.
Q: How many times per week can they tutor?
A: Call or stop by the LAL (Learning Assistants Lab) to check tutor schedules.
Q: Are tutors available every day?
A: Yes. Tutors are available Monday through Friday. You may also schedule for Saturdays and evenings by contacting the tutor personally.
Q: Do I need to make an appointment to see a tutor?
A: Yes, we highly recommend you do. Visit the Learning Lab to check the tutor's schedule. Then make an appointment through your Groupwise, stop by the Learning Assistance Lab office (403), or contact us by phone (524-8118).
Q: Can I be a tutor?
A: Yes, but there are a few requirements. You must have a recommendation from an instructor in the topic you desire to tutor, an interview with the Learning Assistance Lab Director, and tutor under observation.
Q: Do I have to be a student to use the Learning Assistance Lab?
A: Yes, the Learning Assistance Lab is for students of LDS Business College only.
Q: How can I contact the Learning Assistance Lab?

Q: Are there group help sessions?
A: Yes, see the homepage on our website or call the Learning Assistance Lab for further information on group tutoring for the current semester.
Q: What identification do I need to take a test?
A: A picture ID is needed for all tests.
Q: Can I bring my food and drinks into the Learning Assistance Lab?
A: No food or drink is allowed.
Q: Are children allowed in the Learning Assistance Lab?
A: No children are allowed. You will need to make other arrangements.
