LEAP Ahead: "Learn, Experience and Prepare" with Free Classes
Anxious to get some college credits finished before you leave on
your LDS mission? Or want to start your education now instead of waiting until
fall semester begins? LEAP ahead with a shortened 9-week, 6-credit package of
three basic courses… tuition FREE!
The LEAP Program begins June 11 for recent
high school graduates. Classes provide essential
missionary preparation, communication, and study skills to help you succeed in
the classroom or the mission field.
The three, 2-credit classes, held June 11 through August 8 on
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:50 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., are Interpersonal
Communications, Study Skills with Foundations of Learning, and Missionary Prep
or Book of Mormon. You won’t be charged tuition; your only cost will be the
textbooks needed for these courses. You must also attend Fall Semester 2013, or
submit a Mission Deferment form. Since there is no tuition, financial aid is
not available for this special package.
Apply now through BeSmart.com. Select the LEAP program in “Part
2” of the application, and meet admission requirements. A $35 application fee
is required. Application deadline is Friday, May 31. Admission is limited to
the first 60 students enrolled, so don’t delay. You don’t want to miss out on
this chance to LEAP ahead.
