LDS Business College's 127th commencement will be held in the Tabernacle on Temple Square at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 11. This year's graduates will receive 260 two-year degrees and 50 certificates.
Elder S. Gifford Nielsen of the First Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will deliver the keynote address. Randall S Burgoyne, a business and information technology entrepreneur and management expert, president of Burgoyne Computers and co-founder of Applied Technology Foundation, will receive the Distinguished Alumnus Award, the highest honor given by the college.
Student speakers will be Amy Lynn Curtin, an Interior Design graduate from Utah, and Jeremy J. Vallecalle, a Business graduate from California.
Family, friends, and others who wish to attend Commencement should be seated by 1:30 p.m. The processional begins at 1:45; the program begins at 2 p.m.
All are invited to attend a reception immediately following the program at the college's Triad Campus, two blocks west of the Tabernacle at 95 North 300 West, Salt Lake City.
