College can be a time of intense transition and introspection. Having an experienced friend or role model in your corner can provide much needed support and encouragement as you grow both academically and personally. That’s why LDS Business College offers a mentoring program for students.

Mentors are there to listen, encourage, teach, and inspire those who may struggle academically or want to get more out of their educational experience.

Think a mentor might be a good fit for you? Do you want to volunteer your time as a mentor? Contact the Student Development Center at (801) 524 -8151 or sdc@ldsbc.edu

LDSBC provides opportunities designed to develop disciple learners and leaders through experiences which prepare them for their future contributions in their homes, communities and workforce.

Each event is a unique opportunity for students and employees to represent themselves, the institution and the Lord. Students are given opportunities to connect, develop and contribute in meaningful ways through a variety of events and activities under the direction of the Student Development Center. For more information and upcoming events, visit https://calendar.ldsbc.edu/ or email  involvement@ldsbc.edu.

Free tutoring services are provided in the Student Development Center to all registered students of LDSBC.

Scheduling a Tutoring Appointment

Students may arrange to meet with qualified student or Church-service missionary tutors.

There are drop-in labs for Accounting, Math and Writing located within the center. Other subjects are available by appointment, by contacting (801) 524 -8151 or studentdevelopment@ldsbc.edu.

Tips:

  • While we strive to give individual help, one-on-one time with tutors is not always possible.

  • To ensure results, please make your best efforts at assignments prior to seeking assistance from tutors.

  • You may also bring homework to the center to work on so you can access tutors if needed.

  • Students are also encouraged to form personal study groups with their classmates.
