The College has made arrangements for discounts on computers for students. Student discounts are also offered by other retailers, so check with the retailer before you make your purchase.

As of the Fall 2018 Semester, laptop computers are required for all LDSBC students.

Many software providers offer students discounts when you register with your LDSBC email account, so check with them before making your purchase.

Note 1: LDSBC students have access to Microsoft Office 365 for the duration of their enrollment. Some courses will require the use of Office 365. If you have a different version of Office, you should remove it and install Office 365 using the link above.

Utah Transit Authority

Utah Transit Authority (UTA; public transit) passes are available at a discount to the students of the LDS Business College, purchasable online at Once purchased, they can be picked up in the LDSBC Bookstore (located on the College's ground floor) by presenting a current and valid LDSBC student ID.

Please note the following information:

  • Monthly passes can be purchased at any time and are usable for 30 days from first use.
  • Passes for the current semester can be purchased just before the beginning of a semester, and are only usable from the first day of the semester through the last day. Again, semester passes are not usable outside of this time frame: before the semester starts, or after it ends.
